French Martini
Many times it is thought of a ladies drink, but really a quite good cocktail. I just had two of them tonight and it was very tasty. I would definitely be good for an after dinner drink.
I've seen two versions of the recipe, one with pineapple juice and one without. The one without has a very strong raspberry flavor, the one with is a pretty nice balanced flavor. Here are the two variations...
French Martini (with pineapple juice)
2 parts Vodka
2 parts Pineapple Juice
1 part Chambord
Shake ingredients with ice & strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a twist of lemon.
French Martini (without pineapple juice)
1.5 parts Vodka
1 part Chambord
Stir ingredients with ice & strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a raspberry.
I think I like the version with pineapple juice better. Also, the lemon twist gives you that confused taste buds sensation that is the sign of a great cocktail.
Cheers!
